We seemed to all be very ready to meet again when 11 of us gathered at Archie Brown's vegetarian cafe (next-door) for lunch and a 'celebration and review' meeting on 11th September. We celebrated our successful exhibition at Poppies earlier in the summer and Nancy's birthday, which coincided with our lunch meeting, but mostly we celebrated the existence of Roaming, what we stand for, who we are individually and as a group as well as what we offer our wider community. We agreed wholeheartedly that meeting as Roaming each Thursday is important. Since then we have met twice on 18th and 25th September and during both of these days various people have voiced how pleased they are to be back.

Roaming IndependentlyHappily, we've been able to meet a few times in September -- outdoors. Even when we couldn't meet, though, Roamers stayed in touch by way of our post card project (details here) -- we've posted most the them here. There are also paintings and drawings and photographs from Toby, Suzi, Jon and Not Just Any Girl. Look under the "Film" tab above for three new videos!

Mission StatementRoaming's official goal is "to carry on creative activities that benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) people who find themselves in some way disadvantaged, excluded or vulnerable." Our values are really our common ground: confidentiality, integrity, fairness, respect for the values and culture of others, the withholding of judgement, inclusivity, flexibility, and equity in relationships.
