I wondered, since the sun was shining, if we might work outside in the public gardens. However, some of us were looking forward to relaxing in the peace and quiet of the space we work in, so we stayed indoors.
Two new people arrived, one made some drawings and the other wrote a poem. One of us continued his work on the central panel of the large triptych and another continued with a painting that may go on for ever. I made bread and a meat-free version of paella for lunch. We repotted our herbs that we'd grown in the chocolate cake propagator (that we had saved from our day in St.Ives on 2nd May) and someone brought some more seeds to sow next week.

We invited our other directors Andrew Yates and Nancy Roth to join us in discussing some questions that we keep going round in circles with concerning how we describe ourselves in terms of documentation and funding bids. We started with a set of questions Laura had put together (see opposite) but digressed into a fascinating discussion about freedom and memory (see post in "Research" for 9 May 2013)

Mission StatementRoaming's official goal is "to carry on creative activities that benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) people who find themselves in some way disadvantaged, excluded or vulnerable." Our values are really our common ground: confidentiality, integrity, fairness, respect for the values and culture of others, the withholding of judgement, inclusivity, flexibility, and equity in relationships.
