We have been quietly active... some weeks at our base in Penzance and also on a field trip to Trewidden Open Studios. We've been thinking and talking about Roaming in terms of the future. We are all in agreement that Roaming Penzance must continue once our current funding comes to an end in December. We are considering how to develop as a group since we have increased in confidence and understanding of one another and society, both near and far. We are keen to help make the world a better place with small, aesthetic gestures and acts of kindness.

Roaming and ReturningWe're gradually returning to old patterns of meeting, chatting, making things in the wake of Covid. We're glad to be back at Breadline. Even when we couldn't meet, Roamers stayed in touch by telephone, postal projects (details here) and this website. But we're most ourselves and most at ease -- most Roaming -- when we're really together.

Mission StatementRoaming's official goal is "to carry on creative activities that benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) people who find themselves in some way disadvantaged, excluded or vulnerable." Our values are really our common ground: confidentiality, integrity, fairness, respect for the values and culture of others, the withholding of judgement, inclusivity, flexibility, and equity in relationships.
