It was a very happy day yesterday. The weather was sunny, a bit chilly with the sea breeze but we managed to gather again out of doors, the first time since Christmas. I sent out a message to everyone saying bring musical instruments if you wish. As you see from the photos this was welcomed and we had a variety of more conventional instruments as well as found objects such as a CD rack an antique bed-warmer! I also took along paper and charcoal so we also had some drawing taking place. It was so good to be together again. keeping in touch by phone has just about kept us going but there's nothing like being re-united as a group.

Roaming and ReturningWe're gradually returning to old patterns of meeting, chatting, making things in the wake of Covid. We're glad to be back at Breadline. Even when we couldn't meet, Roamers stayed in touch by telephone, postal projects (details here) and this website. But we're most ourselves and most at ease -- most Roaming -- when we're really together.

Mission StatementRoaming's official goal is "to carry on creative activities that benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) people who find themselves in some way disadvantaged, excluded or vulnerable." Our values are really our common ground: confidentiality, integrity, fairness, respect for the values and culture of others, the withholding of judgement, inclusivity, flexibility, and equity in relationships.
